Yemen's Houthi Rebels Claim Attack on American Destroyer and Two Civilian Ships

Yemen's Houthi rebels have claimed responsibility for attacking an American destroyer and two civilian ships in the Red Sea and Arabian Sea. The group's spokesperson, Yahya Saree, stated that ballistic missiles were fired at the American destroyer, while naval missiles were launched at a vessel called Captain Paris and drones were sent towards a ship named Happy Condor. The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations reported two explosions near Yemen's al Mukha, but the targeted vessel and its crew were unharmed. The Houthi rebels, who are aligned with Iran and control Yemen's capital, have been carrying out attacks in solidarity with Palestinians, disrupting global trade and prompting retaliatory strikes by the U.S.
