President Biden is set to host Prime Minister Keir Starmer of the United Kingdom for a bilateral meeting at the White House on July 10. The meeting will focus on strengthening the special relationship between the two countries and will cover a range of issues, including U.S.-UK cooperation, support to Ukraine, the Indo-Pacific region, Gaza ceasefire and hostage release, preventing Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon, and confronting Iranian-backed threats to commercial shipping. The leaders will also discuss bilateral cooperation in areas such as advanced technologies and climate and clean energy solutions. President Biden is looking forward to the meeting and welcoming Prime Minister Starmer to Washington, D.C. for NATO’s 75th anniversary.
