Health of Mother Earth Foundation (HOMEF) launched the book "The Geopolitics of Green Colonialism" in Lagos on Saturday, June 22, 2024. The book, which focuses on Global Justice and Ecosocial Transitions, was presented by Nnimmo Bassey, Director of HOMEF, who emphasized the importance of reading it to understand contemporary issues. The book was summarized into three parts by Breno Bringel, one of the three editors, and contributors from 60 countries, including Nigeria, were involved in its creation. Miriam Lang, a Professor of Environment and Sustainability at Universidad Andina Simon Bolivar, Ecuador, also shared insights on the challenges faced by countries like Ecuador in transitioning away from oil exploration. The event was attended by various dignitaries, including scholars and project managers.
