Pro-Palestinian protestors gathered outside the White House on Saturday, unfurling a 2-mile long banner called the "People's Red Line" to protest the Biden Administration's response to the war in Gaza. The protest, organized by groups including the ANSWER Coalition, drew an estimated 75,000 people and encircled the White House. The banner lists every Palestinian killed since October 7 and is held by thousands of protestors. Roads around the White House are now blocked and choked with protestors. The protest comes on the same day as Israel conducted a deadly raid in the Al Nuseirat refugee camp in Gaza and rescued four Israeli hostages. The Council on American Islamic Relations, the Party for Socialism and Liberation, and anti-war group Code Pink also helped organize the protest. Protestors are demanding that the Biden administration live up to its promise to end the war in Gaza and are calling for an immediate ceasefire and an end to the occupation of Palestine. Prior to the protest, a wall was erected outside the White House by the Secret Service.
