The US and Kenya have recently announced a partnership to promote clean energy development in Kenya. The partnership includes commitments to help individual ratepayers connect to clean electricity, support gender equity and women entrepreneurs in the clean energy sector, and improve public transportation access and safety. The US also plans to provide technical assistance to support the transition to zero-emissions vehicles in Kenya. The partnership also benefits the US by opening up opportunities for US companies in the clean energy sector and geothermal industry. The partnership also includes science collaborations and youth STEM education programs.
