Siemens to Accelerate Hydrogen Ramp-Up with Artificial Intelligence

Siemens is taking steps to speed up the production of green hydrogen by offering support to companies in the hydrogen industry through generative artificial intelligence. This technology is intended to simplify the design, engineering, and automation of hydrogen production plants, ultimately enabling a quicker scale-up of hydrogen production. The Hydrogen Plant Configurator, an intelligent chatbot based on generative artificial intelligence, will allow users to create plant designs for hydrogen production. Additionally, Siemens is launching an AI-based tool called Comos AI for the project planning phase of hydrogen plants. The company is also introducing an innovative module for the Simatic PCS neo distributed control system to simplify the automation of processes in hydrogen plants. These new AI tools are expected to be available in the market by the end of 2024 and the beginning of 2025. Siemens will be presenting these new AI tools at the Achema trade fair in Frankfurt from June 10 to 14, 2024.
