A recent Rasmussen poll has revealed that Republicans are currently holding a five-point lead over Democrats in the race for control of the House. The poll, conducted from May 15-19, found that 47% of likely voters would vote Republican, while 42% would vote Democrat, with 10% remaining undecided. The survey also showed that Republicans were more likely to stick with their party's candidate, with 88% claiming they would vote Republican if the election were held today. The poll also indicated that Republicans were polling better among white and Latino voters, while black voters and other minorities favored Democrats. The survey, which had a margin of error of plus or minus three percentage points, also revealed that respondents favored deporting illegal immigrants rather than granting them amnesty. Additionally, the poll found that respondents believed former President Donald Trump would be convicted by a New York jury in his hush money case.
