US NSA Jake Sullivan Visits India, Discusses Strengthening Strategic Partnership with PM Modi

New Delhi: US National Security Advisor (NSA) Jake Sullivan visited India after attending the Peace Summit on Ukraine and held discussions with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on deepening the India-US strategic partnership. During the meeting, PM Modi assured Sullivan of India's commitment to further strengthen the partnership for global good. The two leaders discussed progress in various areas of bilateral cooperation, particularly under the Initiative on Critical and Emerging Technologies (iCET). Sullivan also met with External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar and National Security Advisor Ajit Doval to discuss a broad range of bilateral, regional, and global issues. The visit comes after PM Modi's recent interaction with US President Joe Biden and is seen as a step towards advancing the strategic partnership between the two countries. Sullivan's visit to India last year also saw discussions on cooperation in critical and emerging technologies, which both NSAs have acknowledged will play a defining role in deepening the strategic partnership.
