MSC unveils Asia - South America East Coast service

Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) has announced the launch of a new weekly service called Carioca, which will connect Asia and South America's East Coast. The service aims to provide additional coverage and improve connections and frequency with Asia. The new service will extend port coverage, better connect to various regions, and increase sailing frequency from Korea and China to South Brazil. The full rotation of the service includes stops in Busan, Shanghai, Ningbo, Shekou, Singapore, Rio de Janeiro, Paranagua, Itapoa, Santos, Itaguai, Colombo, and back to Singapore and Busan. The inaugural sailing of the MSC Yokohama is scheduled to depart from Busan on July 19, 2024. This announcement comes after MSC introduced its new service, Britannia, which aims to provide increased port connections from China to Vietnam to Liverpool.
