MSC has reached a 20% global market share, making it the first liner to do so since Maersk briefly achieved this in early 2018. The company is also close to becoming the first carrier to operate a fleet of over 6 million teu. Meanwhile, Maersk has partnered with Hapag-Lloyd to form the Gemini Cooperation, which will launch in February 2025.
