After a cybersecurity incident disrupted the state's system, electronic filing in existing Kansas appellate cases has resumed and will soon become mandatory. The state's judicial branch announced the resumption of electronic filing, following the launch of a new case management system on June 17. This move is expected to streamline the completion of paper-only processes in the state Supreme Court, Court of Appeals, and clerk of the appellate courts. The resumption of electronic filing is a significant step forward for the Kansas appellate court system.
