Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger Pushes Back Against Nvidia's Claims at Computex 2024

At Computex 2024 in Taiwan, Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger defended the company's traditional processors against claims from rival chipmaker Nvidia. Gelsinger pushed back against Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang's statements that Intel's processors are unable to keep pace in the era of artificial intelligence (A.I.), stating that Moore's law is still applicable. Despite falling behind in the A.I. boom, Intel unveiled new Xeon 6 data center processors, aiming to drive the semiconductor industry to reach $1 trillion by the end of the decade. Gelsinger also announced the pricing for Intel's Gaudi 2 and Gaudi 3 A.I. accelerators, which he claims are more affordable compared to Nvidia's offerings.
