Senior Advisor Tom Perez visited the city to highlight the impact of the project, which has resulted in the construction of new affordable single-family homes. Navy Veteran Damon Taylor, who was previously unhoused, is now a proud first-time homeowner thanks to this initiative. The project, funded in part by the American Rescue Plan, is providing stability and opportunity for families in the area. Mayor Wanda Williams and Perez toured the new homes and emphasized the importance of affordable housing programs. The city is also working on additional affordable housing projects to be available in the coming years.
