Brown-Forman Mourns the Passing of W.L. Lyons Brown Jr.

Louisville, Kentucky - Brown-Forman Corporation is grieving the loss of W.L. Lyons Brown Jr., who passed away on June 9. Brown, a fourth-generation Brown family member, was instrumental in shaping the global company that Brown-Forman is today. He served as CEO and president, and later as chair of the Board of Directors. His visionary leadership and commitment to international expansion and long-term growth were key in transforming Brown-Forman into the global company it is today. Brown was also known for his deep knowledge and passion for global trade, serving as an international trade advisor to several U.S. Presidents. He was appointed by President Ronald Reagan and later served as the U.S. Ambassador to Austria. Brown's legacy will be long remembered and celebrated by the company and the spirits industry.
