Brown, a fourth-generation Brown family member, was instrumental in shaping the global company that Brown-Forman is today. He served as CEO and president, and later as chair of the Board of Directors. Brown was also known for his deep knowledge and passion for global trade, serving as an international trade advisor to several U.S. Presidents. He was appointed by President Ronald Reagan and later served as the U.S. Ambassador to Austria. Brown's legacy will be long remembered and celebrated by the company and the spirits industry.
