President Joe Biden is set to visit Madison, Wisconsin this Friday, as reported by WBAY. This comes after concerns were raised by several Democratic governors about his performance in last week's debate. The New York Times and CNN reported that the concerns were brought up during a governors-only call organized by Minnesota Governor Tim Walz. Congressman Lloyd Doggett of Texas became the first sitting Democrat to call on Biden to withdraw his campaign after last Thursday's debate. The reports also say the governors were worried about going public with their concerns out of fear that it would lead to Biden digging in further. The White House is reportedly setting up a meeting with Democratic governors on Wednesday, including in-person and virtual attendance. Gov. Tony Evers did not participate in Monday's call with fellow governors and doesn't plan to join the call reportedly scheduled for Wednesday. The White House also confirmed that the President and the First Lady will travel to Philadelphia on Sunday.
