President Joe Biden has once again warned Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu against a full-scale invasion of Rafah, Gaza. The White House has expressed concern that such an operation could put more than a million innocent people at risk. Despite US warnings, Netanyahu is determined to proceed with the operation, citing the area as the last refuge of Hamas terrorists. The US has hinted at the possibility of cutting off offensive military aid to Israel, with reports that a planned shipment of ammunition has been paused. Talks continue with the aid of CIA director Bill Burns, who is in the region having conversations with Israeli, Qatari, and Egyptian officials. The US has previously defended military aid to Israel, but a US official has suggested that cutting off offensive weapons is no longer unthinkable for President Biden.
